The School Improvement Committee would like to encourage parents to complete the Ofsted Parent Questionnaire, which will shortly be available as a link from our home-pages.  For parents who don’t have access to the internet at home, we hope it will be possible to complete the Ofsted Questionnaire at school.
The Resources Committee is pleased to note that, due to prudent management of the Federation’s budget, finances are looking better than previously expected.
The Management Committee discussed the school parent questionnaire, which is sent home every other year.  Look out for this questionnaire which will be coming home after half-term.

Governor News - 19/10/2015
The Governing Body met on Monday 19th October and included on the agenda was a discussion around after-school provision across the Federation. The Governors appreciate the importance of childcare availability for working parents and understand that schools across the south of the city are experiencing very similar pressures. However, they felt that on-site provision at Queen Edith and Queen Emma schools has reached capacity and cannot reasonably be expanded without compromising both teaching and extra-curricular provision in both schools. To help address the clear need for additional after-school care as the Federation grows, the Governors agreed to draft a letter to send to providers on behalf of the parent body to find out if there is any scope for alternative local, off-site provision that pupils might be transported to.
The Management Committee met and were really pleased to note that the schools have been working very hard to develop their websites.  Please take the opportunity to look at all the information that is available.
The School Improvement Committee
were delighted to note that pupils' behaviour across the Federation is settled.  It is anti-bullying week and both schools have been thinking about treating each other with respect, which has been a focus of our assemblies.
The Resources Committee reviewed the Queen Emma Nursery fees and these will be increasing by 20p per hour from 1st January 2016.  The Health and Safety Policy was also agreed and is available on our school websites.
