Nursery Welcome

Welcome to the Queen Emma Nursery.  The nursery, with its Cubs Room for children who are two and the Foxes Room for three year olds, opened in our newly built school in 2013.  The Nursery is part of the Queens’ Federation which comprises both Queen Edith and Queen Emma Primary schools. Together they are led by one governing body and one leadership team. The sharing of expertise, resources and the economy of scale are all benefits of being federated schools.

Our nursery staff include Miss Strapelli, Mrs Symonds, Mrs Layton, and Mrs Elwood, while supported by our Nursery Administrator and many nursery assistants.

In addition, to providing 15 hour and 30 hour packages  of free provision for all eligible three year olds, and offering 12 places to children entitled to the free places for two year olds, we can offer children additional flexible hours from 7.45 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. during term time.  We also run a Holiday Club for children from two years old to the end of Year 2, which is staffed by our well qualified and experienced nursery assistants.

If you are considering a Nursery for your child we hope we will have the opportunity to meet you in the near future and that if your child is joining us, you will have a very happy association with the Nursery.
